Mock Trial is Cupertino High School’s exclusive law-based club, offering members a unique courtroom experience. Participants present cases at real courthouses before judges and attorneys. Our members are usually interested in law, public speaking, or joining a close-knit team. Our season runs from September to February.
For our 5th-grade project, we were asked to choose an inspiring famous person, study key details from their autobiography, and present a lifelike portrayal by dressing in their attire at a school-wide event open to parents and family members. When approached, we were required to recount their entire history through a prepared speech.

The officers of the 23-24 CHS Mock Trial Team pose with our attorney coach, Mr. Bui. We led the team to the semifinals, but we lost to Lynbrook High School. Despite the setback, we were proud of our achievements throughout the competition.

As a the secretary for CHS Mock Trial, I was responsible for recording detailed minutes of meetings, handling logistical tasks, leading my team’s meetings, and facilitating communication between participants. In addition, I helped manage team dynamics.
As the co-president for CHS Mock Trial, I oversee trial preparation and proceedings and lead team strategy and practice sessions. I also help manage team dynamics, facilitate communication, and represent the team during competitions.
